One of those genuinely useful little music-room finds. I like that it is rechargeable and easy to clip onto a music stand for evening practice, reading sheet music, or working through a song without lighting the whole room. I have 4 of these for my music stands.

A good set of strings is one of those simple things that can make you want to pick up the guitar again. I like keeping a dependable set on hand, especially when I am working through songs and tunings regularly. I prefer 12’s on my Taylor Guitars for the deep low E strings sound.

Practical, but pretty enough to leave out next to my bonsai’s. I love the long narrow spout for watering smaller pots and herbs without making a mess, and the simple metal finish fits beautifully into a cottage kitchen, sunroom or garden corner. Looks like it’s copper but more versatile.

Crisp cotton sheets are one of those simple luxuries that make a bedroom feel fresh and welcoming. I love percale for that cool, clean feeling — especially in a relaxed coastal room with soft blue, white and natural textures.
