The teacher behind the songbook

The Last Living Shepherdess is a quiet musical home built around folk song — alternate tunings, fingerstyle guitar, and the strange and beautiful music of Joni Mitchell in particular.

The lessons here come from years of teaching one student at a time: patient, unhurried, paying attention to where a song actually lives in the hands and in the breath. The songbooks are the kind I always wished I had when I was learning — generous with tuning notes, light on jargon.

Replace this paragraph with your own short bio whenever you're ready — your story, your training, what drew you to Joni Mitchell, and what students can expect.
